Gas emissions come from the combustion of natural gas in residential, commercial and institutional buildings and facilities, and manufacturing industries and construction. This sector also includes fugitive emissions associated with the distribution of the gas, which are considered Scope 3 emissions. This source includes network supplied gas only and does not include emissions from bottled gas. National and state level emissions factors are sourced from the National Greenhouse Accounts Factors.
